Easter is getting closer and for many it is the perfect chance for a break. One year ago I wished a happy Easter with a post about the Easter’s eggs tradition in Ukraine. Unfortunately this year during my recent trip to Ukraine I found no eggs. This because it was too early for Easter eggs and because the museum dedicated to this tradition was closed.
So I decided to show a photo of something closer to Milan, the Como Lake over the splendid village of Mandello. This is a perfect destination for a short trip to detox from the frenetic city life. The mountain called “Zucco di Manavello” is close to Mandello and you can reach it walking along an excursionist path. Few hundred meters before the edge there is the “Baito de Manavel”, a small wooden mountain hut opened during every Sunday and managed with care by the group “friends of Manavello”.
Over there the sight sweeps from the waters of the Como Lakes until the edges of the harsh “Grignone” mount with an outstanding panorama.
