The trees creak with the wind rustling, the animals see you but you probably do not see them. You perceive them around as they grub the ground looking for food and move through the vegetation.
Once shepherds, peasants and other travelers had nothing but torches and candles to illuminate their way, and today, putting me in their shoes, I can imagine how their lives were full of stories, legends and fairy tales. I can imagine why gnomes, goblins, and dark characters animated their world.
Have you ever been in a forest? Whether alone or in company, staying silent? Have you ever felt that feeling of tranquility that nature transmits to you? The night? Have you ever lived it in a forest? It is definitely an experience.
Like the one you can feel in front of the monolith that is in this photo. A magnetic majesty of a rock raising out of nowhere. As if it comes out the ground or had been pushed against the earth like a meteorite. It is huge. It is one of the oldest rocks in Italy with its 2 billion years.
You will find yourself there staring at it, as it was spilled from the earth’s crust an infinite time ago. Since the human being arrived in this part of Liguria, was fascinated by this mysterious rock. In ancient times they thought that there was a huge snake in his cavities, and in his heart there was flaming lava. Today, however, with modern times, legends are aimed at stars, meteors and aliens.
Even without having to believe those stories, we can surely say that, Pietra Borghese “Pría Burgheísa”, is impressive also because of its composition, it attracts lightning and moves the needle of the compasses.
All you have to do is to pick up the invitation to leave the city behind you and to get into the legendary nature.
