Walking around Milan can bring you unexpected surprises and emotions. Milan is the hidden corners’ city, the ones you must look for and that, when discovered, leave you surprised. You could bump into an eclectic mansion like this one in the photo built around 1911 and 1913. A liberty style that proposes rams, fish, dogs and many other animal figures set into the red bricks of this unusual mansion designed by Giulio Ulisse Arata. In the centre of this lobby there is a sculpture that will hardly leave you indifferent in her anguished look. This is the Winged Victory made by the sculptor Adolfo Wildt. Getting closer to it, you will notice an ethereal expression, even mysterious, that recalls sufferance in its gaze turned towards the emptiness of infinite.
In Cappuccini’s road this is not the only mysterious corner. Just few steps from this mansion there is another one with its small mystery in it. A courtyard full of shy flamingos grazing undisturbed.
